What a curved-back duct bend is and what we need for one
Flat cheeks, one smooth back
The curved-back bend turns a rectangular duct on a smooth curve. Two flat cheeks are cut to the shape of the turn, and one back is rolled smooth round the outside to join them. The inside of the bend, the throat, can be a square corner or rolled round.
This is the duct bend. For round pipework, use the radius bend instead.
What to measure
The cheek width, the back width, the throat, which is the radius on the inside of the turn, and the angle, which starts at 90°. All sizes over the insulation, outside edge to outside edge. If the two legs of the throat differ, there is a box for the second one.
When to pick it
Where there is room for a curve and the duct is on show, the rolled back gives the cleanest look. Where space is tight, the square bend turns the same duct on a sharp corner.
Metal and finish
Aluminium, 0.6 to 0.8 mm, plain or stucco, matched to the straight casing either side.

Is there a minimum order?
No. One fitting is fine. Any delivery charge on a small order is shown on your quote before you order.
Can I get it flat-packed?
Yes, on request. Say so when you send the job and the office prices it on your quote. The prices on the site are for fittings made up, ready to hang.
Do fixings come with the cladding?
No. Our prices are for the cladding only. Bands, rivets and screws are not included, but we can supply them with your order: ask, and they go on your quote.
