What a square duct bend is and when it has vanes
A sharp corner on a duct
A square bend turns a rectangular duct on a sharp mitred corner, inside and out, with no curve to it. When there is no room for a curved-back bend, it is the neat answer, and it meets the straight duct casing square on both legs.
Turning vanes
Turning vanes are curved blades inside the corner. If the duct has them, the cladding allows for them: choose none, one, two or three on the page. For a smooth curve on the outside instead, the curved-back bend is the one to pick.
What to measure
The width and the height of the duct, over the insulation from outside edge to outside edge, and the angle of the turn, which starts at 90°. If you only have the bare duct size, the page can add the insulation for you.
Metal and finish
Plain or stucco aluminium, 0.6 to 0.8 mm. Type the duct size and you see the pieces drawn before you send it, and we aim to quote the same day.

Is there a minimum order?
No. One fitting is fine. Any delivery charge on a small order is shown on your quote before you order.
Can I get it flat-packed?
Yes, on request. Say so when you send the job and the office prices it on your quote. The prices on the site are for fittings made up, ready to hang.
Do fixings come with the cladding?
No. Our prices are for the cladding only. Bands, rivets and screws are not included, but we can supply them with your order: ask, and they go on your quote.
