What a domed tank end is and how it is built
Petals and a crown cap
A domed tank end covers the dished end of a vessel. It is built from tapered petals that meet at a small round crown cap in the middle, so the aluminium follows the curve of the dish without puckering.
Where it goes
On vessels and tanks with dished or domed heads, top or bottom, standing up or lying down. The round side of the vessel is the tank body page, so the two together cover the whole shell.
What to measure
The vessel size over the insulation and the height of the dome, from where it leaves the shell to the top. The number of petals and the crown cap size are filled in to a standard; change them if your job needs more or fewer.
If the head is not a simple dome, send a photo or the vessel drawing with your sizes and the office will look at it.
Metal and finish
Aluminium from 0.6 to 1.0 mm, plain or stucco. The petals come pre-rolled, ready to fit. Stainless steel 304 / 316 is made to order.

Collect free from Dublin 12, or we deliver anywhere in Ireland. Delivery is often free; any charge is shown on your quote before you order.
What if you get a fitting wrong?
If we got it wrong, we remake it the same week, no charge. We make to the measurements you send, so check them before you send.
